Project Description:

This project involved the renovation and installation of an upstairs bathroom in a residential property of an OAP in Glasnevin, Dublin.

As always, our team worked closely with the customer to achieve their goals, on time and within their budget.

The old, dated bathroom was completely removed and a new ultra-modern bathroom was installed. The original bathroom only contained a sink and a toilet and the new bathroom contains a new toilet and wash basin, but also a modern walk-in electric shower.

The original bathroom did not have enough space to facilitate a shower, so a small portion of the adjoining bedroom was taken into the bathroom to accommodate the new shower tray. To compensate for the lost space in the bedroom, unused storage area was reclaimed into the bedroom.

The smallest heated towel rack available was installed in order to make sure the space available was maximised.

Features

  • The floors and walls all had to be completely replastered so they were level, in order to accommodate laying the new modern tiles.
  • The bedroom and bathroom walls were all insulated and the bathroom walls sealed and ventilate to prevent dampness and mould.
  • New radiators and skirting boards were also installed and plumbing reconfigured to accommodate the upgrades.
  • The modern bathroom will help to future-proof the house as well as increase its value.
