Project Description:

This home renovation project included the extension and renovation of a lovely 2 bedroom cottage in Stoneybatter, Dublin. It was a turnkey renovation from start to finish.

Extension and Renovation

The GT Carpentry team extended the home into the back garden in order to convert the small galley kitchen into a larger kitchen, reclaiming unused space from the side of the home.

The new kitchen was custom built to the client’s own design specification, with birch ply wood and quartz countertops.

The bathroom was completely renovated and a new skylight was installed to maximise the natural light coming into the home.

Heating and Electrics

The home was rewired and the electrics redone and new windows and doors were installed.

A new combi-boiler was installed saving space and preventing the need for a hot press, and underfloor heating was installed which will keep the cottage snug all year round.

Finishing Touche

New floors were also laid in the the bedrooms which were finished off with some select painting and decorating.

Finally, the back garden was resurfaced with stones providing a nice vista from the new kitchen and a pleasant sun trap for Summer evenings.
