Up and Down Sash Windows – A-Rated Upgrade
Project Description:
This recently completed project involved upgrading the energy rating of a property in Dublin. As the windows being upgraded were stunning up-and-down sash windows in a period home, the client was particularly concerned with retaining as much of the original windows as possible, staying true to the style of the home.
The GT Carpentry team upgraded the clients windows from single pane windows to double-glazed, argon-filled units that are A-rated, and were installed into the existing window frames.
So, the client was able to keep the original frames while our team were able to supply them with the higher-grade windows, new weights and fittings as well as the bespoke ironmongery required.
We also provided them with a new, more energy-efficient door, with the original stain glass units reinstalled.
Throughout the project, our team worked room by room, so as to minimise any disruption to the client while keeping the home sealed throughout.
Parts replacement was included as part of the scope for the project.
